Domy Houston 2012 Dunny Release Recap...
The Dunny 2012 series was released yesterday for the world to enjoy! New and old artists tackled the classic Dunny design and thought outside the box to create some of the best figures yet. Last night at Domy Houston was a great release party full of a bunch of eager collectors waiting to get their hands on the new set. The hot ones to get at the trading party were Junko's and Jeremiah's. Everyone also was impressed when a new JPK variant color was pulled out of blinds! Everyone seemed to love the series but most seemed to be wishing for more designs to be included! Maybe in 2013?

Jason Freeny and his threesome of custom 1/4 cutaway 18" LEGO men... are AMAZING!!!
Check out this heat that Jason Freeny aka the master of fairytale anatomy, just revealed via his Facebook page... it's an awesome sculpt that he recently completed on a threesome of 18" tall Lego men.... and hot damn did they turn out amazing! Jason mentions that these took about two and a half months to complete... which is understandable, seeing the amount of work put into each and every one of these. Check out the WIP pictures he posted HERE... what a talent this man is, and how cool are these 1/4 cutaway figures!?!?! Unfortunately for all of us drooling over the photos wanting to buy one, they are already spoken for... but Jason is always open to commissions and can be contacted via his website HERE.

Leecifer's pair of customized Super7 Mummy Boys for SDCC!
Leecifer has tackled the Super7 icon, customizing the stunning pair of Mummy Boy figures. I love how his muted palette makes these seems straight out of a horror film, even in defiance of their happy-go-lucky expressions. These pieces are for Dragatomi's Booth #4935 at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC); and I'm beginning to wonder if Dragatomi created their booth out of a T.A.R.D.I.S., since it seems to be holding a massive amount of goodies on it!

Curiosities: An Illustrated History of Ancestral Oddity book on Kickstarter!
This might seem a bit out of left field for our site, but I think it's a fascinating project that deserves some recognition, so… Mike Yamada & Victoria Ying, a husband and wife art duo, have teamed up with Ying's brother Jonathan to create "Curiosities: An Illustrated History of Ancestral Oddity." This full-color, "fully illustrated 96-page hardcover" book "tells the story of a pair of kids who inherit a spooky old house from a long lost uncle. The house is full to bursting with mysterious doo-dads and trinkets. Each room being a strange, personally-curated monument to a crazy ancestor. A Cabinet of Curiosities!" And as this protagonist siblings explore their family history through "the weird and fascinating remnants of long-gone relatives," the discover relatives who were "Pirate Queens, Wizards, Overly skilled Lion Tamers, and at least one eccentric taxidermist."
Call me a sucker, but I love this idea and want this book. Fortunately, it's already exceeded it's goal on Kickstarter so now everything is merely gravy… Check it out HERE. And a mere $25 will score you a copy of the book, so get on it!

L'Amour Supreme x Mishka x David Healey's new figure for SDCC!
Bringing together a trio of wonderful artists in collaboration, the above teaser is for the brand new resin figure that L'Amour Supreme, Mishka, and David Healey have crafted for the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. It appears to have two heads, based on the angles of the 'ears,' and that is some superior glow-in-the-dark ability it seems to have! We're told it will be available on Friday, July 13th at Toy Tokyo's booth in the afternoon.

kaNO's Android Series 3 design revealed & design sheet leaked!
Above is kaNO's design for the upcoming DYZPlastic's Android Series 03 set, dropping later this summer. We're told it that the "design is based off of the hazard suits that the Beastie Boys rocked in the Intergalactic video." And what a wonderful tribute to the band that is… And — courtesy of the Android Guys website — we also have the graphic design sheet for Series 03… which this kaNO piece and the previously revealed KRONK "Escape Ape" are both mystery designs on!

All of DrilOne's custom Androids for Dragatomi's blind-box SDCC 2012 series!
We previously teased you with work-in-progress pics of DrilOne's "Android Tank" custom for Dragatomi's Blind Box 2012 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) series, but it now looks like this fantastic piece is completed. But that's not all, as DrilOne reveals all five of his pieces for the series!
And we thought this blind box series was already shaping up to be impressive, but those gas mask Androids look sick. The tank might remain the standout piece, but none of these should be hastily disregarded. If you're going to SDCC then I think I have to advise you to hop on by Dragatomi's Booth #4935 with $80 to buy at least one of these wonderful blind boxed pieces…

DMS's new "Android in Carbonite (Gunmetal Edition)" drops today!
No one's quite sure if the original vinyl platforms survive the process of being frozen in carbonite, but you can rest assured that they are in there… captured in their final free moments before being placed in a slab for your displaying pleasure. And while DMS might've come to prominence due to his amazing mech customs, it's certainly this series of carbonite frozen figures that captured the hearts of fans. Limited to an edition of a mere 25 copies, this new shiny "Gunmetal" version of the "Android in Carbonite" comes complete with clear display stand for a mere $50 (plus $10 worldwide shipping). They will appear in DMS's online shop today (Friday, June 22nd) around 6PM GMT… which is 11AM PST, if you prefer.
