Review/Unboxing - WAKUKU’s Handicraft World Blind Box Series Is Stitched Together With Pure Collectible Charm!
HERE is bringing WAKUKU into a whole new handmade universe with The Handicraft World of WAKUKU Series Blind Box, and I just dropped a full YouTube unboxing/review taking a closer look at this soft, stitched-up, button-covered release. This fourth-generation WAKUKU plush figure series is built around the idea of repair, creativity, and giving new life to forgotten little things. WAKUKU loves collecting buttons of all shapes and sizes, constantly using them to create new toys. When those buttons are attached, it feels like each creation is being brought to life… and that emotional idea runs through the entire collection.
Each WAKUKU in this series features a heart and heartbeat motif on the left side of the chest, symbolizing the wish that every toy they create is given a new life. It is such a sweet concept, and it gives the whole series this deeper emotional layer beyond just being cute. The figures have that vintage handmade feel, loaded with asymmetrical socks, button accents, patchwork details, stitched elements, soft faux-mink fabric, and just the right amount of lovable weirdness.
The series features 6 regular figures plus 1 secret chase. The lineup includes: Not A Good Kitten, The Corner Tearing Bear, Blue Fluffy Beast, The Scarecrow Of Watch, Sweet Dream Little Bat, and Gluttonous Ghost. The secret chase is Prayer Angel, with a 1/72 chance of being pulled. A sealed full set includes 6 confirmed figures, but if the secret is pulled, one of the regular figures gets replaced.
What I really dig about this series is that each character has its own little story. Not A Good Kitten is the mischievous troublemaker, full of yarn-ball chaos and sofa-destroying energy. The Corner Tearing Bear has a more emotional story about being worn out, patched back together, and finding strength in repair. Blue Fluffy Beast feels like a soft little home for all the unwanted scraps, buttons, and threads that still deserve to be loved.
Then there is The Scarecrow Of Watch, a once-lonely field guardian who becomes a gentle protector after being rebuilt with care. Sweet Dream Little Bat feels like a comforting bedtime protector, made from moonlit cobwebs, dream whispers, and soft stitched magic. Gluttonous Ghost is the snack-loving troublemaker of the bunch, wandering kitchens and snack cabinets with a patched-up little body full of candy and cookie energy.
And of course, collectors are going to be hunting for Prayer Angel, the secret chase. This one is not a real angel, but a doll longing to touch the sky, stitching wings onto itself and weaving wishes upward. It is a really poetic concept and easily one of the standout designs in the series... was I lucky enough to pull this one, well... you gotta watch the video to find out.
During the unboxing, what stood out the most was how much personality and texture these figures have. The faux-mink fabric gives them a super soft tactile feel, while the handmade-inspired details make each piece feel intentionally imperfect in the best way. They feel like little repaired companions… cute, quirky, slightly strange, and full of heart. The tagline for this world really says it all: In the Handicraft World of WAKUKU, Everything Can Be Mended.
If you are into plush blind boxes, designer toys, art toys, character-driven collectibles, or figures with actual story and emotion behind them, this WAKUKU series is absolutely worth checking out.
