Review/Unboxing - Young Mayne Hits the Court… 2BFND Brings 90's Streetball Vibes to Resin Toy Collecting!

There is something about a designer toy with attitude that instantly grabs you… and Young Mayne from 2BFND has that locked-in, playground legend energy from the jump. I just posted a new YouTube review taking a closer look at this 12-inch resin art toy, and this figure brings a whole lot of personality, style, and streetball nostalgia to the shelf.

Young Mayne stands tall with a super lanky sculpt, long arms, oversized hands, and a mean mug that looks like he has been waiting all afternoon for someone to finally check the ball. He is rocking a backwards red cap, silver chain, baggy blue shorts, tall socks, and a basketball held low in front of him like he is about to size up the next defender. The whole vibe feels pulled from a mix of early 2000s hip-hop, streetwear, blacktop basketball, and East Coast playground culture.

One of the biggest details that immediately jumped out to me is the footwear. Those oversized white and red basketball shoes are absolutely doing work. They have that chunky late-90s/early-2000s court shoe flavor… somewhere in the world of classic Jordan silhouettes, AND1 Mixtape Tour energy, and streetball-era sneaker design. They are not direct copies, but the influence feels familiar in the best way. The shape, the red paneling, the oversized proportions, and the way they anchor the figure give Young Mayne a ton of presence.

What I really dig about this piece is how simple the outfit is, but how much it says. The cap, chain, shorts, sneakers, and basketball all tell you exactly who this character is without needing a giant backstory. He feels like the kid from the neighborhood court who never smiles, never misses, and always has next.
