Classic "Mustard" Tube Dunny's by VISEone
Awwww yeah! We posted up the teaser from VISEone HERE last week as he had mentioned that he was bringing back his new Tube Dunny custom series... but this one was with a twist! These 3" classic "Mustard" Dunny's were created for hotdog and mustard fans alike... because who doesn't like a little yellow spread on their wiener?!?! Created as a series of 10 pieces, these figures stand a whopping 9" tall from the top of the bottle to the base, and can be picked up HERE right now for around $120 a piece! Now I wonder... will we see other condiments?!?!

Gary Ham's "Autumn Deer" for Supahcute's show at Leanna Lin's Wonderland!
Last month we teased you all HERE with a really great looking WIP of Gary Ham's submission for the upcoming Supahcute Dream Team group show... and today we have the full reveal to show you. Titled "Autumn Deer", this exquisite looking, all wood, hand-crafted forrest wander turned out awesome. Gary not only has the whole "creating things outta wood" schtick down, but man does his paint application push his craft over the top! Gary mentions that he used Cel-Cinyl to pain over this piece, giving it those smooth transitions... but don't be foold, a steady hand is what really pulled this one together! This will be on display during the "Art Too Cute For Words," which is slated to open on May 12th and runs through June 24th at Leanna Lin's Wonderland, 5024 Eagle Rock Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90041. Be sure to come out if you are in the Los Angeles area to see this piece, plus many more in person!
Participating artists include: Axelhoney, Beastlies, Bubi Au Yeung, Crowded Teeth, Doubleparlour, Fat Rabbit Farm, Gary Ham, Genevieve Santos, Hiné Mizushima, Jerrod Maruyama, Katie Cook, Liz Adams, Martin Hsu, Mekanikku, Melissa Hsu (Susuten), PodgyPanda, Sawdust Bear, 64 Colors, Susie Ghahremani, and Yoko Nomura. In addition, a justJENN Designs pop-up shop will be present.

*TEASER* Tara McPherson's "Black Heart of Gold" HUGE 20" Dunny Pink & Blue editions
Kidrobot just dropped a HUGE bomb... literally, and metaphorically speaking as per their post up on Instagram (the image you see above) you can see that these is going to be a new Tara McPherson Dunny release... but is this a production, or a custom? I'm glad you asked! After doing a little bit more sleuthing on the net I found out that PBM had posted up a listing for a 20" Dunny... BOOM! Oh, and not only is there going to be one version of this massive beast, but there will be two... a "Pink" and a "Blue". Tentatively titled "Black Heart of Gold", all of this can not be confirmed yet... but seeing as Kidrobot is teasing, it's only a matter of time before we get the entire scoop! What do you think?

DMS's "Qee In Carbonite" Star Wars inspired custom Toy2r figure!
DMS teased this backing card image which is obviously an addition to his popular "in Carbonite" series, though for the sake of alliteration it is a "Qee in Qarbonite." We have a non-confirmation confirmation from DMS that this will be release tomorrow for the Star Wars embraced day of May the 4th, so expect this 'surprise' release in his online shop at an undisclosed time (possibly 11AM PST). We've heard it should be limited to 25 copies for $50 each.

2bitHack's custom Steampunk 3" Dunny is a wonderfully wounded creation!
If I didn't know that this custom was by the 2bitHack, then I'd have sworn it was the newest creation out of Doktor A's mechanically messed-up mind. Replacing this 3" Dunny's ears with the glass vials alone looks amazing, but the green tinted resin filling that oozes out of his lost arm is a stroke of brilliance. And the paint job is a truly solid metallization of wee vinyl form. While the final destination of this piece is unknown to us — it might end up appearing in the 2bitHack's online shop — you can always contact him directly about commissioning a custom of your own.

Artmymind's custom Dunnys for "Most Wanted" show at 1AM Gallery!
The samurai obsessed duo of Guillaume & Julia Lachambre, better known as Artmymind, have unveiled their three amazing custom Dunnys for the upcoming "Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" gallery show. While I don't have titles for each piece, let's examine the individually to properly do them justice.
An 8"-tall Dunny beautifully sculpted to resemble a dragon warrior. The finely crafted lizard scales covering the face, the toothy grin, those piercing eyes, and — of course — the horned ridges on the back of the head… all cohesively assemble into one outstanding piece. And the finely crafted robe and armor? Pure icing on an already mind-blowing cake.
It's a little hard to tell, but I think that's the kanji for 'fire' (⽕) on the forehead of this 8" Dunny's helmet; and based on the orange & yellow skin coloration, this seems potentially accurate. The helmet and jawline sculpts are fantastic, with those penetratingly large eyes accentuating the whole, and that brilliant looking spear-sword. But, to be honest, the robe on this one is what really what makes it for me: it looks so carefully constructed and truly pops with that under-robe hemline showing.
And finally, mixing some of the best elements from the previous two, is an insanely well-made 3" Dunny. Yes, you read that right, this is a 3" Dunny. Look at the sculpt work of scales on the forehead, the defined jawline, the wondeful eyes, the tiny hand-sewn robe, the custom mace… and did I mention this is a 3" piece?!? C'mon, it seriously looks like Artmymind created a shrink ray and just took it to one of the 8" customs…
"Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" (more information HERE) opens on May 11th (6:30-9:30PM) and runs through June 10th at the 1AM Gallery, 1000 Howard St., San Francisco, CA 94103. Participating artists are: RunDMB, Tim "timselF" Munz, Ryan the Wheelbarrow, Ardabus Rubber, JC Rivera, Grimsheep, Nikejerk, Artmymind, Gomi, Rsinart, Lickyourelbow, Pause, Chauskoskis, Uncle, Ian Ziobrowski, Matucha, Dr Befa, Chica Terremoto, Igor Ventura, Sergio Mancini, Luihz Unreal, Nevercrew, Hugh Rose, Carson Catlin, ClarkR, Muffinman, Lily Black, Megan "Me Smithy" Smithyman, Bubo, and Chris "We Become Monsters" Moore.

"Sitrus, Guardian of the Evergreen Orchard" custom 3" Dunny by TheLozBoz
Hot off the release, and subsequent sale of her last custom 3" Dunny, UK based artist Laura C. aka TheLozBoz has just announced her latest creation "Sitrus, Guardian of the Evergreen Orchard" a beautiful custom 3" Dunny! I asked Laura if she could touch on her process for creating such a magnificent creature, below is her response.
"My process is, sand off the old paintjob, prime it with bike paint, sculpt on it with Super Sculpey and mysteriously obtained dental tools, then prime it again, then sand all the sculpted areas down meticulously with heavy, then medium, then fine sandpaper to get a finish smoother than a baby's butt. Then prime it again. Then it's ready to paint with lots and lots of thin coats of acrylic with various textured brushes. Then leave it to dry in a glass vase from Ikea, so he can't attract dust. Then gloss and UV varnish to finish and protect from sun bleaching, and then back in the Ikea containment chamber until completely dry."Altough this probably seems a little OCD, it really just shows that if you want a smoking looking end product, you have to put in the time! I am thoroughly impressed with her creations, and this one with his lime green overtones and lemon zest undertones is the perfect combination! "Sitrus, Guardian of the Evergreen Orchard" is set to go on sale HERE at 1pm PST... so be quick in order to snag him!

Shawnimals's Remmy Ninja is a personal canine fundraiser!
If you have not heard of the incident involving Shawn "Shawnimals" Smith's dog Remmy, then please read the following from the man himself:
Remmy our amazing dog and Shawnimals mascot was badly attacked by two dogs and barely survived. Now they've dedicated "this all-new handmade plush to her, in hopes to raise funds for her ongoing care," as well as to help give back to their local canine community: "25% of each sale will go to help build the upcoming Logan Square Dog Park in our neighborhood on the northwest side of Chicago." The 5"-tall Remmy Ninja plush is available HERE for the amazingly low price of $20. Please go snap one up immediately, helping not only a good cause but also aiding the Smith family pay for Remmy's ongoing care.

Most Wanted Series 3 Reveals: Luihz Unreal, Igor Ventura, & Sergio Mancini of Red Mutuca Studios
So who's ready for more Most Wanted Series 3 reveals???? I know I am, and today we are heading south of the border... and by south, I mean way south as we are heading down to Brazil to see what those talented Brazilian folks from the Red Mutuca Studios have created for this EPIC blind-box custom mini-series!
First up is a figure that we have been posting teasers of HERE, and it appears that our speculation was correct... featuring a dark color pallete with pink highlights and a retro look, Sergio Mancini has created a really fantastic looking "Paperboy" custom Dunny, announcing good news in the art toy world... and look at that stack of papers as an accessory... SWEET!
Next, we get to see the reveal of Luihz Unreal's take on a classic 8-bit design as his love for this retro gaming time has manifested into his "Gamerboy" custom Dunny! I am really diggin all the subtle nuances, such as the 8-bit "Fire Flower", hearts on the chest, and the all around painterly sense of humor and cartoony design.
Lastly is the "Pyromaniac Puppet" from the ever evolving mind of designer Igor Ventura... and right off the bat, this piece just screams time and dedication! Check out all the work that has been put into each and every one of those figures, the wood texturing, the marionette strings, and added torch... seriously amazing!!! All 3 of these will be on display at the Most Wanted: Behind the Hype show at 1AM Gallery in San Francisco, along with all the other pieces from Most Wanted: series 3, as well as private collections from the previous 2 series... so don't miss out on going if you are around the area!

Chauskoskis's custom Dunny Samurai WIP for "Most Wanted" show at 1AM Gallery!
Is there any stopping Walter "Chauskoskis" Jacott? The man is a customizing machine and every piece he does is so damn good. This samurai figure is a custom 8" Dunny for the upcoming "Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" gallery show and you can really see Jacott's amazingly detailed sculpting already in-place. The stylized nose and cheek mole are great touches to me, but those Angelina Jolie lips… I don't know. I have faith in Jacott's skill and vision, so I'll certainly give him the benefit in this scenario until the final piece is revealed."Most Wanted: Behind The Hype" (more information HERE) opens on May 11th (6:30-9:30PM) and runs through June 10th at the 1AM Gallery, 1000 Howard St., San Francisco, CA 94103. Plaseebo's custom vinyl figures for BITS at Lot F gallery!
It's always fun to open up your inbox and be surprised by pictures of incredibly strange and mixed-up looking creatures, which is my reaction to seeing the Kaiju-fied creations of Bob "Plaseebo" Conge. Both pieces are for the upcoming BITS art show — in fact, the creature on the left is a resin rotocast Bits Mascot — and both incorporate the LED units that Conge is rapidly becoming known for using in very cool ways.
BITS — showcasing the work of Bob Conge, Todd Robertson, and William Long — opens on May 4th and runs through May 30th at Lot F Gallery, 145 Pearl St. #4, Boston, MA 02110.

Tyler Coey, Yosiell Lorenzo, Brent Nolasco & Matthew Ryan Sharp at OhNo!Doom Gallery!
The M. Collective will be having their first exhibit as a whole at the OhNo!Doom Gallery, but who are they? Founded in 2009 by Tyler Coey, the M. Collective is a banding together of like-minded artist; in addition to Coey, it also features Matthew Ryan Sharp, Brent Nolasco, and Yosiell Lorenzo (whose art is pictured above). In fact, you might recall mention of this group show when we posted about Lorenzo's "The Wounded Sicklings"… five of which will be part of the exhibit.
The M. Collective's "Relentless" exhibit opens on May 12th and runs through June 7th at OhNo!Doom Gallery, 1800 N. Milwaukee, Chicago, IL 60647.

Street artist Pahnl's "Chasing Bones" Plastic Pup Figure!
You might recognize Pahnl from the amazing "Nowhere Near Here" animation that was doing the rounds a year or a year-and-a-half ago, but — if not — check it out HERE. Fast forward to now, Pahnl's spent time learning the art of hand-poured plastic casting and, having gotten the hang of it, he's now willing to share his creation with you. Watch this little video of how it was made:
I quite like the look of this 4"-tall piece, simple as it is… but it's expressive & well-designed. The stainless steel base (which has all the writing on it), magnetic feet, and plexiglass shielding all make for great packaging & easier display. With this first edition limited to only 15 numbered copies, the pre-order price tag of £95 (approx. $155) is a wee bit excessive… but it does include worldwide shipping, so maybe that balances it out. Pahnl is anticipating a June 6th release date, but you can order one now in his web shop.
