Amazing custom Horselington by Sevren
I am constantly amazed at the talent out there that remains hidden for so long... that being said, super Horselington collector Pranay just sent over images of his latest custom which was created by David Ten who goes by the artist name Sevren... and hot damn does this look amazing! It has a very eclectic feel to is, drawing inspiration from the steampunk genre as well as some horror inspired noir films. For more on this artist be sure to hit up his site HERE.

Leecifer x Plaseebo - Secret project announced
I just got word from Leecifer that he has teamed up with none other than Bob Conge aka Plaseebo for a special project! We really don't know much info about it other than the very cryptic images that were sent over above... any guesses? I can see the awesome stylistic paint scheme from Leecifer all over these figures... and I can't wait to see more!
"Smudge" plush toy from Paisley Fawn
"If you go out in the woods today… You’re sure of a big surprise… If you go out in the woods today…. You’d better go in disguise…. Because today’s the day the Teddy Bear Smudges have their picnic!" These Quirky little guys are soft, friendly, and looking for new homes. Each one is a little bit different, and ALL are unique and 100% hand-crafted in the USA by plush artist Paisley Fawn. This series is limited to only 25 pieces, as the tummy is made from a vintage crocheted wool afghan that has been carefully felted in the washing machine. The teddy bear smudges are about 5 1/2" tall and 9" long. The perfect size if you ask me! To order a limited edition "Smudge" for just $65 a piece, and can be found via her online store HERE.
So you may be asking yourself... what the heck is a Smudge??? Well, Smudges are itty bitty artistic muses that love to hang out wherever humans are. They come in many different varieties, colors and breeds. The standard smudge is only 2.5" tall and 3" long, however tiny 1" mini-smudges and large 3' tall breeds have been seen in the wild! To me, they are almost a mix between a bear and a whale... a nice bulbous body with a fun unassuming face.

Toy2R x MCA - Evil Ape 3" artist series
Just yesterday we posted up HERE a new, hopefully upcoming, Ugly Dolls "Spider Baby Boom" release through Toy2R... and today we have yet another conceptual project with designs and assortments that may be subject to change... but Toy2R is working to bring these to life for 2012. It is a new series based on MCA's Evil Ape figure and it will be 3" inch versions of the popular 6" Evil Apes that Toy2R produced... and as you can see there are several artists from across the globe who submitted designs including: Jon-PAul Kaiser, Jim Koch, Abe Lincoln Jr., MCA, Space jockey, Sam Fout, Brian Butler, William Walison, Oliver Hibert, Sket-One, Nick Z, Evoker, Filter 017, and Niko Stumpo. No ETA or pricing yet, but we do know that they will be blind boxed... more info when we get it, that being said... I hope these come to fruition, because they are rad!
Flashback File: Jay222's Skratchy Seal Robot for ThudRumble!
In an industry where so much is constantly happening, it's easy to look at the next thing and forget the last thing… Well, Jay222 noted that we never wrote up his Skratchy Seal Robot sculpt from two years ago and we're only too happy to rectify this oversight. It all started with ThudRumble co-founder DJ Q-Bert contacting Jay222 about creating a piece for the back of the "Skratchy Seal + Traktor Scratch" vinyl album cover… and it ended with the birth of the above pictured creation. With pride, Jay222 boasts that this sculpt was made without the use of any vinyl platform as a base and — in fact — everything on this guy was hand-sculpted with the minor exception of a computer board located in his chest.
Is it the smoothest, most perfect piece ever? No, Jay222 was still honing his craft. But it is an impressive feat, building something that intricate from scratch. And I do love the turntable affixed to his back. In the end, it's a fun little insight into the customizer to come. And, of course, Jay222 got to add this to his resume:
He tells us that the original plan was to have a contest wherein one person who bought the record would get the figure as a prize, but — alas — the piece was irreparably damaged. Unfortunate.
Check out Jay222's website and view for yourself how his talent has evolved!

Mini-MAD*L's droppin soon... in clear resin!!!!!!!
A few weeks back we posted up some interesting info HERE about MAD reviving the Mini-MAD*L platform... and today he just confirmed that with the picture you see above. Check those out, clear resin Mini-MAD*L's with the promise of "Soon..."! I for one am super excited about this... even if it is not an artist series, just getting these made is fantastic... now I wonder how much they will be and how many will be produced... or better yet, will there be other colorways?!?!?!

Chauskoskis "Birro" the clown Dunny... Out NOW!!!!
WOW!!!! Just yesterday we posted up a teaser picture HERE of Walter Jacott aka Chauskoskis' "Birro the Clown" Dunny, and we were speculating that this would be a production piece inspired by the “Most Wanted: Artist Series 2” – a collective and custom Dunny series project curated by several Kidrobot Forums members... well we were right, and this is now up for grabs HERE! This 3" Dunny turned out fantastic and as you can see from the images above... not only did Chauskoskis do an amazing job on the design, but Kidrobot hit a home run with the production of this piece! I love the additional sculpting and modification of the Dunny head... and wow does it do the original design justice! There are only 1,000 pieces of this guy available, and for $15 this feisty clown can be yours! On a separate, but equal note... a HUGE congrats goes out to Walter for getting a production Dunny... so well deserved and a long time coming!

BASK x 1xRUN x OhNo!Doom's Camping with Mole-Man print!
Did you — like me — miss your chance at a free piece of BASK's art, as we previously announced? Then here's your chance to rectify this absence in your art collection… though, unfortunately, it will cost you a bit this time around. To celebrate the halfway point in his solo art show "Scenic Riot" at OhNo!Doom, BASK is working with 1xRUN again to release something special: an ultra-limited quantity of prints from his "Camping with Mole-Man" piece (shown above).
Set to be released on Friday, March 30th at 12 Noon EST, the regular edition will be limited to only 25 copies printed on 22" x 15.5" Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper at $65 each. But if you want something a little more special, there will be a 10 copies hand-embellished edition run as well. Absolutely fantastic!
BASK's "Scenic Riot" art show opens on March 10th and runs through April 10th at OhNo!Doom, 1800 N. Wilwaukee, Chicago, IL 60647. ohnodoom.com

Rampage Toys to do dinosaurs?!? A tease with promise!
Jon M. of Rampage Toys sent out the above picture with the tagline "Look into my crystal ball… The future is blurry it seems." Well, let's see if we can clear it up just a little bit…
Rampage Toys will be doing a series of three "Cyclops Dinos," set for release this spring. The gorgeously crafted mini-figures will be cast in sofubi (soft vinyl), but that's — unfortunately — all we've tracked down. Since everyone loves dinosaurs (c'mon, you know you do), this is certainly something we'll be keeping a close eye on…

Ron English's art for the Techno Kitten Adventure game!
If you're a fan of the already surreal Techno Kitten Adventure game, then the addition of Ron English's art to the mix might not seem so strange. And that's exactly what's happening. The above — we're told — is an actual screenshot of the Ron English pack in use and (below) are some of the icons he created (er, repurposed) for use in this endeavor.
The Ron English pack for Techno Kitten Adventure drops on March 16th for all you iOS users (iPad/iPhone/iTouch) and shortly thereafter for the XBox Live version of the game. Download links, when available, will be located on the Techno Kitten Adventure website.
