KARMIEH Toy Design is stepping into the dark side with their “
Darth Bear: Imperial Edition”, and this thing is straight-up commanding attention. Pulled from their ongoing narrative world (and yes… even rooted in an
origin story you can dive into - oh, and remeber the first edition we posted about
HERE back in 2022?), this release leans heavy into that ominous, authoritarian aesthetic… bold red armor, black accents, and a presence that feels more like a statue than a toy.
Let’s talk about that design for a second… the helmet alone does a ton of heavy lifting. It’s got that unmistakable sci-fi villain energy, fused onto a stylized bear form that somehow feels both intimidating and oddly collectible-cute at the same time. Then you’ve got the subtle streetwear influence layered in… the “STOP WARS” hit across the chest… which adds a modern, almost protest-style twist to an otherwise imperial look.
This piece stands around 7" tall, crafted in resin, and each one is hand-painted, signed, and numbered… with an ultra-tight edition size of just 10 pieces worldwide. Yeah… ten. Blink and it’s gone type of drop.
Retail is set at $249, and while it may have landed just after May 4th, it’s still currently available for pre-order… with an expected ship window of September 2026.
There’s something I always appreciate about releases like this… they sit right at that intersection of pop culture inspiration and original storytelling.
