Very Berry, Very Grumpy... charabiner Introduces TOYKO’s First Sofubi Colorway!

Big pigtails, bold stripes, and a scowl that could stop traffic... meet TOYKO! Tokyo-based charabiner (@art.toyko) is introducing the first colorway of its new sofubi character, “VERY BERRY GRUMPY,” and this little troublemaker has plenty of attitude to spare.

Designed in collaboration with illustrator Yuki Hanafusa (@uwtb09), TOYKO stands approximately 9.8" tall in soft vinyl. Mint-green twin tails frame a sharply unimpressed face, while vivid pink and teal stripes, oversized sleeves, and chunky black shoes make sure she stands out on the shelf. That downward glance is doing some serious work!

The project brings together Tokyo style, kawaii culture, and a love of character design. We dig the contrast between the playful colors and that grumpy expression... she looks like she has somewhere much cooler to be, and honestly, we believe her.

charabiner says the first colorway is coming soon. Pricing, edition size, and the release date have not yet been announced, so keep an eye on the official TOYKO Instagram for the next update. We’re looking forward to seeing more of this one!
