Woven for Your Shelf... Black Bear’s 'Wicker Husband' Resin Figure Opens for Preorder!

Your shelf might have just found its leading man... and this one comes with a whole lot of woven charm! Black Bear (@blackbearpics) is bringing the Wicker Husband from Wicker into collectible form with an approximately 8" hand-painted resin figure. Limited to just 150 pieces, this is a pretty fantastic little detour from the usual movie collectible!

If you haven’t caught up with Wicker (@wickermovie) yet, the film follows a fisherwoman in a seaside village who grows tired of being ridiculed by her neighbors and commissions herself a husband made from wicker. Naturally, that unconventional romance gets the whole town talking... with jealousy and chaos following close behind. A made-to-order husband becoming a made-for-your-shelf figure? Yep, that checks out!

Andrew Martin (@monstercaesar) handled the sculpt, working from reference images supplied by Wētā, the team behind the suit worn in the film. That connection gives collectors a neat bit of background: the figure’s design was developed with reference to the actual screen costume. Translating all that woven texture into a much smaller resin piece gives the sculpt plenty of detail to show off.

And there’s a lot to look at! Layered patterns run across his face, chest, and arms, giving the body a textured, handmade appearance. Dark trousers break up the woven surfaces, while a little patch of greenery underfoot finishes the presentation. This is the sort of sculpt that makes you lean in for a closer look... then move around to check out another section.

The paint master was handled by Anthony Mestas (@kangolkid), bringing another familiar collectible-industry name to the project. Between Andrew’s sculpt and Anthony’s paint work, there’s a nice combination of character design and surface detail here. We’re especially digging how unusual this guy will look alongside a lineup of monsters, robots, and other shelf residents... he certainly won’t disappear into the background!Preorders are open through Black Bear’s official shop for $149, with shipping expected in December 2026. The figure is cast in resin, hand-painted, and limited to 150 pieces. If character sculpts and wonderfully odd movie creatures are your thing, this one deserves a closer look.
