Acquiring a hand-painted piece by Gary Baseman might seem like an unattainable feat, but American luxury fashion company COACH is trying to place it more in the reach of some lucky fans of the Los Angeles-based artist. To celebrate Baseman’s new Collaboration Collection with Stuart Vevers, the Creative Director of Coach, the painter has hand-painted an array of leather jackets and tote bags with his iconic designs. Available in four versions each, these are limited strictly to orders of 10 apiece, with the totes being $2000 each and the jackets $3000 apiece. While these aren't "cheap," they are affordable in comparison to Baseman's normal one-of-a-kind paintings.
