Patrick Wong's "Darkest" B-Boy custom Mascot & Munny for group exhibition!

Derived from his previously seen "Spirit of '84" design, Patrick Wong continues to convert the solidly '80s phenomenon of b-boys into Designer Toys for the nostalgic. His newest one, "Darkest," has been carefully rendered on a 7-inch Mascot (above) and a 2.5-inch Micro Munny (below), each completely separate though similar from the other. Clad in classic '80s b-boy fashion — Cazal glasses, Adidas tracksuit, and shelltoe sneakers — these vinyl figures have some slick sculptural additions as well as the crisp, clean paint applications. The Mascot version comes complete with a custom painted wooden box and signed edition art card, while the Micro Munny is packaged with a custom designed box and signed edition art card as well. Both figures are one-of-a-kind pieces of art, never to be replicated by the artist again…
"Bits and Pieces," a group exhibition, opens on Sept. 28th with a reception from 7-10PM local time and will remain on display until October 20th, 2013 at Lift Designer Toys & Gallery, 228 W 4th St., Royal Oak, MI 48067.
