Comic Stripped custom "LOONEY TUNES" Munny by VISEone
It really keeps getting better and better... or should I say the customs that Wolfgang aka VISEone. keeps pumping out. Check out his latest 7" custom Munny that he completed as a commission for a collector where he covered the entire piece with cut up Looney Tunes comics to form one massive collage... and on top of it sculpted the words 'ACME' as well as a few sticks of 'TNT' for good measure! Awesome work once again!

Glyos Ceekoar custom release
Ben Mininberg or better known to all of you by Prometheum5 is set to embark on a release that he has not attempted before. This set of custom Glyos figures, painted up with Monster Kolor, is going to be limited to five pieces and starting tomorrow, Ben is going to be posting up a new figure on his website HERE for the next two weeks before posting the whole squad pics and release details, and the figures will go up for sale when the whole squad is posted. Above is just a taste of things to come... so keep checking his site for up to date info as well as SS.com for details when we get them!
Some background info: "Ceekoar is one of the fringe worlds of the Glyos universe, known for its harsh gaseous environment. It is constantly under siege because deep under its cloudy exterior it was the site of many ferocious Old War battles, resulting in the inhospitable environment today. The survivors of Ceekoar were changed by the new environment and now dedicate themselves to keeping the Old War tech decaying on Ceekoar out of anyone’s hands."

"Mobile Mountain" custom Bambaboss by Motorbot
Recently completed as a custom for Phil of the awesome website Battlegrip, artist Motorbot completely reconstructed one of 3A's Bambaboss figures and transformed it into a "Mobile Mountain". We have seen this style of custom from Motorbot before, and just like the previous versions, this one turned out great. It's really cool to see the smaller trees, and the cracked rocks with vegetation running throughout the piece... it really adds great depth, making it appear as if it were a giant motorized mountain!

Go BIG or go home!!! K.Olin tribu releases their "Big Aro" in porcelain
The headline pretty much sums this up, but instead of going home, K.Olin tribu wants you to take home this massive porcelain sculpture. Based on the smaller sized figure that was their flagship release in the designer toy scene "Aro" has been supersized! Designed by French artist Steph. Cop this recreation is a full 2 Feet tall and as you can see from the above photo it totally dwarfs its smaller counterpart. These sculptures, limited to 12 pieces... 6 white, and 6 black, are not for the casual collector as they will set you back a whopping $8,700... I guess that's the price you pay for solid porcelain sculptures.

"ZEROMAN" custom Celsius from Jan Calleja
Filipino artist and customizer Jan Calleja is at it again, and using the one platform that he loves to work on... the Celsius figure designed by Rotobox Vinyl! This custom, however, stands out among the rest of his kit-bashed figures because it is not a Formula One car but a fighter plane. Titled "ZEROMAN", this cool custom is the first in a series of customs called the DOGFIGHTERS! These are inspired by WWII's fighter planes, this one in particular is based on the Japanese Mitsubishi Zero, and as you can see from the above picture, Jan does another stellar job capturing the allure of these historic machines.

KAWS Companion 'Passing Through' video installation
A photo recently taken (to the left) and posted up via KAWS Facebook page shows off his massive 'Passing Through' Companion figure with a title stating "I'm not into this weather!!!". This was taken outside in the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum sculpture garden, which is also home for KAWS' art retrospective on display until June 5, 2011! This HUGE sixteen-foot-tall sculpture is his largest incarnation to date, and the above video shows the installation of this beast.

Custom 'Smash' and 'Dunny' from Jon Paul Kaiser
Continuing on his custom rampage, UK artist Jon Paul Kaiser shares with us today a few more pieces that he recently completed for some lucky collectors. First up is a really coll rendition on Joe Ledbetter's Smash figure as, JPK did up this ape for a fellow UK collector & seller, where this collector left the design up to Jon! After inspecting all the ways it could stand, Jon's wife suggested perhaps a Donkey-Kong inspired piece... and boom, there you have it. Even though this figure is not as cartoony as the OG DK figure would be, Jon took the more literal approach to it and make the gorilla more life-like. Gotta love the added red tie, and boxing gloves!
Next up is a custom Dunny titled "Pandanigata". This is a 3" Dunny custom who is a follow op from Jon's earlier Pandashigaru figure. Unlike his predecessor... this guy has moved up the ranks and is now a more skilled fighter and renowned for his ferocity in battle. It's really great to see Jon use color in his pieces as it really sets off the rest of the black/white... especially with this piece above as the weapon and belt really lend to completing the design... such amazing work. Congrats to both these lucky collectors for snaggin up some rad pieces!
