GRAPE BRAIN × ONIGIRI COMBO CUSTOM SHOW!

Things are getting wonderfully weird in Thailand as GRAPE BRAIN's unforgettable ONIGIRI COMBO becomes the canvas for an international custom toy exhibition! The GRIPON: GRAPE BRAIN vs X ONIGIRI COMBO Custom Show brings a lineup of women artists together for one-of-one interpretations of this unmistakable multi-eyed character at Mido Gallery. From the oversized ears and wild paws to that toothy grin, ONIGIRI COMBO gives each artist a whole lot of sculpted personality to work with. Better yet, collectors have several opportunities to try for the customs through a series of scheduled auction groups. If you love seeing a familiar sofubi platform pushed in unexpected directions, this is one show worth following closely!

The event is billed as a Thailand Halloween Girls Party, with participating artists contributing individual custom pieces rather than a standard production colorway. Because these are artist-finished works, each one brings its own paint treatment, character details, and visual interpretation to the same sculpt.

The announced auction windows are Group A: October 28–30, Group B: November 1–3, and Group C: November 5–7, 2026. At the time of this post, the latter two windows are the ones to watch. Organizer Zendio Dawa is directing collectors to its Instagram announcements for the corresponding auction links and entry instructions. Check the original post for each group before participating, as availability and bidding details can change.

The show is also a great reminder of why artist custom exhibitions remain such a fun part of the designer toy scene: one character, many very different creative voices, and pieces that are unlikely to be repeated. Follow the show announcement and the organizer's updates for the remaining reveals and sale information.
