Stay Puft? Not This Time... Meet NO PUFT - New from Toys on Tap x More Horrific!

Something strange is cooking over at Toys on Tap, and this one looks like it wandered out of a paranormal containment unit after a seriously bad day. Meet NO PUFT, the latest soft vinyl creation from Toys on Tap x More Horrific, taking a familiar marshmallow sailor concept and stripping things down all the way to the bones.

Standing 8" tall, NO PUFT is a wonderfully weird mix of cute, creepy and completely melted. The exposed skeletal body is covered in dripping white marshmallow-like goo, while the bright blue sailor collar, pink neckerchief and oversized sailor cap keep just enough of that classic character silhouette intact. That contrast between the cheerful sailor styling and the gnarly skeletal anatomy is what really sells this one for me.

The figure was sculpted by More Horrific, with header card artwork by SNZ Toys, and will be packaged traditional indie-toy style in a bag with header card. The first edition is planned as a run of 150 pieces. There is one important catch with this release... NO PUFT is being produced through a preorder campaign, and the project needs to hit a minimum of 80 preorders before it can move into production. So if you want to see this gooey skeletal sailor actually make the jump from render to vinyl, supporting the preorder matters.

Preorders open September 18th at 5PM PST through Toys on Tap. Collectors who preorder this original edition will also receive early access to purchase future NO PUFT variants before the general public. Those upcoming versions will be much tighter runs too, with future variants limited to just 50 pieces each.

I dig seeing More Horrific continue to push recognizable pop-culture silhouettes into something stranger and more toy-driven, and NO PUFT definitely feels built for collectors who like their nostalgia with a little extra decay.
