WHAT'S NEW

Sad Salesman Returns with 'Sky Guy ver 1.2' a New Limited Resin Edition Through Strangecat Toys!

One of the standout releases from this year's convention circuit is making a return... and if you missed out on the first drop at CollectedCon Los Angeles, here's your second chance. Sad Salesman and Strangecat Toys are releasing Sky Guy ver 1.2 on Tuesday, June 2nd at 9am PST, bringing back the beloved cloud-filled character in a fresh new edition packed with subtle but meaningful updates.
Standing 7" tall, Sky Guy remains one of Sad Salesman's most charming creations, featuring a translucent blue resin body that contains an entire miniature sky scene within. Floating clouds drift through the figure while a smiling sun shines overhead, accompanied by tiny birds, a hot air balloon, and an airplane suspended inside the crystal-clear blue resin form.
For version 1.2, collectors will notice two notable changes from the original release. The hot air balloon has been updated with a striking red-and-white color scheme, while the airplane now features a metallic finish, adding extra visual pop to the already dreamy composition. Produced by Strangecat Toys, this edition is limited to 300 pieces worldwide. Considering the previous version sold out extremely fast during CollectedCon Los Angeles, collectors interested in adding this whimsical resin piece to their collection will likely want to move quickly when sales go live.
Each figure is handmade and individually finished, giving every piece its own unique character. As with most handcrafted resin collectibles, minor surface variations, seam lines, air bubbles, resin artifacts, and slight paint differences may be present and are considered part of the handmade process rather than defects. At $275, Sky Guy ver 1.2 continues Sad Salesman's exploration of simple, nostalgic, feel-good design... transforming an entire sunny day into a collectible art toy. If history is any indication, don't expect this one to stick around for long... they will be up for grabs HERE at the above date and time!
