Sponge Brain Blindbox, the latest addition to his instantly recognizable Sponge Brain series. Even better, this marks Emilio’s first blindbox project since way back in 2008, when he teamed up with TOY2R for the Jumping Brain keychains. That alone makes this release feel extra special.
The series pulls together some of the most recurring and iconic colors from Emilio’s body of work. You’ve got Classic Pink, Sunset Red, Lime Green, and Smurf Blue leading the charge, with Sponge Bob Yellow sneaking in as a playful nod within the mix. On top of those, there are additional variations and secret editions that add that extra layer of excitement every blindbox collector loves. Seriously, how cool is this?!?! I think the color lineup is seriously strong, and seeing them all together just makes me want to line them up on a shelf immediately. Each Sponge Brain Blindbox piece is handcrafted using resin and acrylics, individually signed by the artist, and produced in a limited edition run. These aren’t mass-produced throwaways… they’re proper art objects with that unmistakable Emilio Garcia vibe.
