100 Artists vs 1 Gorilla, a massive free event happening at The Space Lab in Philly. Hosted by The
Playful Gorilla and
Jae Martin, this show is shaping up to be one of the most exciting DIY and custom toy gatherings the city has seen.
Featuring over 100 local and national artists, the event shines a spotlight on Philly’s role as a true hub for independent art, custom toys, and hands-on creative culture. From one-of-a-kind designer collectibles and original artwork to live sketching and interactive moments, this is the kind of event where every corner has something worth discovering.
One of the biggest highlights of the day is the debut of
P.Rilla, a brand-new DIY toy from The Playful Gorilla. Expect plenty of unique takes, custom interpretations, and exclusive art and merch drops that you won’t find anywhere else. This is the kind of show where collectors can score something truly special while also meeting the artists behind the work. The vibes go way beyond toys and art too. The day includes music by DJ FuManWho, drink specials from Queen & Rook Cafe, and exclusive pastelillos from Amy’s Pastelillos, making it a full-on community hang rather than just a quick pop-in show.
