Joshua Ben Longo's monstrously beautiful artwork exposed!

Gah! That rug has teeth! "All the better to eat you with, my pretty…" Damn, that's one adorable and disturbing rug; okay, so the 'Monster Skin Rug' isn't exactly a new concept… but Joshua Ben Longo does pull it off with some solid class. The above rug is made of wood, polymer clay and cashmere, which goes towards explaining the $2500 price tag (or $750 for a small one); cashmere is most certainly not a cheap material and that is one sweet lookin' piece. Check out Longo's web shop for a variety of other items, with prices that suit a diversity of budgets; he mostly crafts cute monsters, but who doesn't need one (or two) of those?
