**RECAP** Dragatomi's "Not Vinyl" show...

Last Saturday, May 8th 2010 Dragatomi played host to a really fantastic show, and unlike most of the shows that take place in their gallery where the focus is on custom vinyl, this show was the complete opposite, in fact it was called the "Not Vinyl" show. What a cool concept, and as you can see from the photos, some really great pieces were in this show... aside from the show some pieces that were made by TaksOne graced the walls of Dragatomi as an anniversary present for Ray and Joanne... that awesome 3D lite up mural above, SICK!!!!

The great part about this show is that the majority of the artists involved are commonly known as vinyl artists, which pushed them out of their comfort level to try something different, and that is exactly what happened! Artist tried all different types of medium, form glass, to resin, wax, plastic, foam, plush, found objects, even chocolate, the list can go on and on and in fact check out all the pieces left over from the show HERE, shoot why not pull the trigger on some! A huge thanks once again to DrilOne we have him to thanks for all of these great photos! Hit the jump for much more on this show!

This show being was co-curated by both artist Leecifer and Ray and Joanne of Dragatomi, and they lined up a great group of artists including: Plaseebo, Paul Kaiju, Leecifer, TaskOne, Phoneticontrol, Betso, Lysol13, DrilOne, Jay222, Blamo Toys, Argonaut Resins, Quan Vu, SpankyStokes, Motorbot, Rsin, Mandark, Jahsocky, C!nder, Jared Konopitski, Daniel Goffin, Olly K, Cris Rose, Eckotyper, J*ryu, Josh Herbolsheimer, LilJapan, Gatchabert, Jenny Wolf, Ian Ziobrowski, Chris Granillo, Shane Saw, Brian Colin, Sucklord, WeKillYou, Apocalypse Popsicle, Brent Nolasco, NervisWr3ks, KilGraffiti, MONSTREHERO, and many others. A large group of the previously mentioned artists actually attended the opening, which is always a plus for their fans, and rumor has it that alot of the pieces in the show sold... AWESOME! This show turned out to be a great success, and a guarantee good times were had by all because Dragatomi knows how to throw an art show, and once again hit up their shop HERE to see all the great pieces still available!
