From Flat File to Full-Blown Fire... 100% Soft’s Lil Flat File Fire Sells Out!

Well... that didn’t take long. Following its debut at Mass Mini Con, 100% Soft brought a small batch of the Lil Flat File Fire resin figure online, and collectors wasted no time cleaning them out. The new piece takes the familiar little smiling chaos of 100% Soft and stuffs it inside a stack of happy little flat file drawers... complete with a massive translucent orange fire erupting from the top. Each drawer has its own tiny face, there are little scraps of paper sticking out from between the drawers, and somehow the whole thing still manages to look ridiculously cheerful despite being completely engulfed in flames.

Priced at $150, Lil Flat File Fire was produced as an edition of 150, with only around 50 pieces held back for the online release after Mass Mini Con. Those remaining figures were offered first come, first served... and they are now officially SOLD OUT. The presentation is pretty killer too. Lil Flat File Fire comes packed in a bright pink box covered with cartoon artwork of the flaming flat file, keeping that unmistakable 100% Soft look going from figure to packaging.

What makes this one particularly interesting is where it could potentially go from here. Longtime collectors will remember that 100% Soft’s massively popular Dumpster Fire also began life as a resin collectible before eventually making the jump into vinyl and growing into a huge lineup of releases, collaborations and colorways.

Could Lil Flat File Fire follow a similar path? It definitely feels like a character made for more interpretations... and considering how quickly this first resin edition disappeared, we wouldn’t be surprised to see that little stack of drawers burning again someday.
