Tenacious Toys has teamed up with UK's own Tesselate to release a rad new series of custom Mini-Munny's dubbed the "Double B Squad". According to Tesselate, the "Double B are a pyrotechnics crew who specialise in hyper speed displays. Each member of the squad is an expert in their given field as these displays are very technical and ultimately dangerous. Only three hundred residents perished in the most recent display, where a '33special' ricocheted off of a passing SyroCruiser and ignited a nearby stack of loose Lorantium. Luckily one of the squad has a resurrection ray on them and managed to bring the residents back to life." This is an is an 8-piece series and each 4" Munny is decked out in truly eye-popping colors, giving them each their own unique characteristics. Richard Page of UMETOYS just released a new little custom creation, and this shy little pink "Willow Winterbottom" is looking for a new home! This custom 3" Dunny is a close friend to Richard's previously created "Martin Longbottom" and the niece of "Piers". I like all the littel texture bumps he added to this piece and the eye along with the popping pink color scheme are really nice! It appears to be an application type of day... and still riding high on the success of his awesome "Ninjatown: Trees of Doom!" app, artist Shawn Smith of Shawnimals has teamed up once again with Pickle King Productions to release yet another - soon to be hit - iDevice application titled "Ninja Builder"!!! As the name suggests, you do just that... build ninja's, but in the super stylized fashion that Shawn Smith's Ninjatown mascots are know for! Ninja Builder allows you to customize your very own ninja with a variety of body colors, accessories, foods, weapons and more! Coming down to the last few days in this really cool contest, and to kick off the launch of the “Listen and Learn” application, artist Jeremy Fish has illustrated (in black Sharpie) on the back of a brand new iPad 2 which is being given away now on Upper Playground’s Facebook page. To enter the contest, simply include your email address in the contest link on the lower left side of the Upper Playground Facebook page. One winner at random will get a Fish customized iPad 2. Well this is exciting to see, as Jason Freeny of Moist Productions poses for a picture with Stephane of Yoyamart in NYC with the first Toy2R "Visible Qee" off production... and hot damn does this look good! Jason has got to be stoked to finally see this out in the wild, and just a reminder for all you folks... this 7" Qee is up for pre-order HERE right now... so go pick it up because seeing as it's a limited edition, they won't last long!
Alright!!! So what started out as a project nearly 3 years ago... and has traveled with him along all his various relocation's, TaskOne has finally finished up his massive 20" Mega Munny titled "Fly me to the Moon"!!! In concept this piece has win all over it, and after seeing it completed... well, let's just say Tak hit it right on the button! It's really great to see the use of materials in this piece, and I dig how he used a Dunny head as the "Spaceman" inside! Task tells us that the button on his chest lets you scroll through different RGB LED light patterns... and yes, it's illuminated from the inside... AWESOME!!!
Check out the video above... it shows off every angle of this piece. This custom also has a mount at the end of his hose so he can be suspended from wall, ceiling, floor or spaceship... Can you imagine a 20" custom hanging from your wall?!?!? Task is putting this piece up for sale via his online store HERE on New Year's Day along with a couple other new surprises that he's really stoked about.... but mum is the word on those til 2012!
