SNOOPICHNAYA by Plastic Explosives x iamRetro Is Ready To Run The Valley!
From the icy streets of Moscow to the sun-soaked sprawl of the San Fernando Valley, SNOOPICHNAYA has officially stepped onto the scene! Plastic Explosives (Les Schettkoe) and iamRetro have teamed up for this slick 7.5" vinyl figure that takes a familiar cartoon-inspired silhouette and flips it into something way more shady, stylish, and full of attitude. Dressed in his green vest, blue hoodie, white kicks, and holding his black accessory with that signature side-eye stare, this figure has “don’t mess with me” energy written all over it.
The backstory is just as wild as the figure itself. SNOOPICHNAYA was once a scrappy enforcer for a feared Russian crime syndicate, carving out a new identity after the fall of the Soviet Union and eventually landing in California’s San Fernando Valley. Trading Moscow’s frozen streets for Ventura Boulevard, he now outwardly lives the American Dream while running a car wash as a front. Behind the scenes, though, the old ways are still very much alive, with whispers of extortion, smuggling, and “problem-solving” following him wherever he goes.
What really makes this release pop is the contrast between the playful vinyl form and the darker character lore. The oversized black head, intense eyes, clean color blocking, and included accessories give SNOOPICHNAYA a super strong shelf presence, while the bright red box art keeps the whole package feeling bold and display-ready. It is funny, sinister, and weirdly charming all at once… exactly the kind of designer toy mash-up collectors love to see.
Standing approximately 7.5" tall, the OG SNOOPICHNAYA vinyl figure comes with two accessories and is limited to just 125 pieces worldwide. This one is available now through Plastic Explosives Toys and through iamRetro for $74.99, so if you are looking to add a little Valley underworld flavor to your collection, don’t sleep on it.
