MJ Hsu reveals more about her
previously announced "Donatsu" creations, which are being released TODAY!!! Just like the backstory for her "
Delectables Dunny" releases, "these kawaii donut animals also come from a magical bakery" and, "because they are made from sweet enchanted dough, they would like nothing more than to make someone’s day a little happier."
Named after the Japanese word for doughnuts, these 3-inch tall and 1½-inch wide resin donut depictions feature the adorable likeness of various types of bears and cats emblazoned upon them before being finished with sprinkles, frosting, fruit, and other toppings du jour. In addition to the multitude of "standard" flavors — like "Oreo Panda Donatsu" & "Mango Tiger Donatsu" — there will be two "special flavors" that we'll be revealing over the next couple of hours, leading up to the piece's debut today (July 7th, 2016) at 10am Pacific time in
Hsu's online shop. Costing $50 apiece (or 3 for $120 with the coupon code DONATSU3), these will be available for one week only! Yes, instead of being limited to a hard count per design, Hsu is accepting orders on them until July 14th, 2016, after which these flavors of "Donatsu" will not be offered again…
