WHAT'S NEW

Prometheus Rising Studios's 3D Printed Mechs for FOE Gallery show!

Ben Mininberg's Prometheus Rising Studios have crafted a new line of all original, 3D printed mecha action figures, which he's entitled "Prometheus Rising Heavy Industries." After each of these different designs are modeled on the computer, they are "produced on an UP! Mini 3D printer in ABS plastic," says Mininberg, "and fully painted by me!" He continues to explain that these are "a tribute to the Real Robot designs of 1980’s mecha anime, and each figure is produced in a specific scale for play and display with existing toys from that era." The initial three figures in the PRHI line will be debuted at Foe Gallery's upcoming "Rise of the Robots!" group exhibition. If you are unable to attend the showcase, fear not: "Plans for production runs of each design are already underway, with more loadouts and designs in the works."

"Rise of the Robots!" opens on Friday, February 8th with a reception from 6-9PM and runs through Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 at Foe Store & Gallery, 28 Pleasant St., Northampton, MA 01060.
Participating artists include: Toby Barnes, David A White, Rick Beaupre, James Biggie, Ben Mininberg, Adam Mulcahy, Michael Bracco, Robert De Castro, Ryuji Oguni, Todd Robertson, Adam Connor, Luke Cavangnac, Marianne Plumridge, Bob Eggleton, Jotham Stavely, Boss Brown, Casey Coller and Will Long.
