Bruscolino's googly-eyed resin slug-like creature "WAMU!"

Italian artist Marco "Bruscolino" Sgammotta certainly has an identifiable style: rough hewn textured bodies, massive googly eyes, and (typically) a slimy or oozing element. I'm not quite sure what his newest 3-inch resin cast figure, "WAMU," is supposed to be, but it reminds me of a slug.
