We're thrilled to see Los Angeles-based street artist
Shark Toof partnering with
Munky King to release his very first designer toy: "Shāyú!" The name is a romanization of
鯊魚, the Chinese word for "shark," and it's most appropriate given that these are massive sculptural renditions of that most feared sea predetor's head. We'd
previously spotted this as a work-in-progress, but it now seems they've come along quite a bit. Cast in what appears to be resin, we assume this ultra small edition of 10 pieces will each be hand-painted. Making its debut at SDCC, we have our fingers crossed that this is simply a first shot for what is to come…
