HongToys Brings a Colorful Crew of Kaiju to Hobby Round 35!

Get ready for a monster party, folks! HongToys (@hong.toys) is bringing a colorful crew of five fantastic sofubi figures to Hobby Round 35, and these little characters are packed with personality, wild sculpts, and some seriously awesome paint applications! From familiar Ultraman universe monsters to wonderfully weird aliens, there's plenty for collectors to get excited about. If you're attending the event, make your way to booth F-05 to check out these pint-sized creatures in person! First up is Alien Simon's Child (サイモン星人の子ども), a quirky little extraterrestrial sporting a milky translucent body, purple accents, wide yellow eyes, and bright orange lips! That single antenna and those outstretched hands give this little guy a ton of personality. Standing 2.56" (65mm) tall, this two-part sofubi figure will be available for ¥6,000. Something about that goofy expression just makes us smile!

Next up is Lunaticks (満月超獣ルナチクス), the Full Moon Super Beast from the Ultraman universe! This long-eared monster looks absolutely fantastic with its oversized orange ears, metallic silver textured chest, green legs, and shiny gold accents on its claws and feet. And check out that big ol' tail! Standing 3.74" (95mm) tall, this five-part sofubi figure will retail for ¥9,000. HongToys really packed some incredible details into this sculpt, and that colorful paint job brings everything together beautifully!

Things get extra weird with Pira Alien (突撃！ピラ星人), the Assault Alien! This wonderfully bizarre creature features a bright orange, frilled head, tiny googly eyes, and a curling, segmented body with metallic green accents. What a strange little monster... and we mean that in the best possible way! Measuring just 2.17" (55mm) tall, this two-part sofubi release will be priced at ¥6,000. We're really digging the sculpt and the way those contrasting colors bring out all the little details!

Looking for something a little more menacing? Berokron (ベロクロン) is ready to bring some serious kaiju action to your collection! This iconic Super Beast from the Ultraman universe is absolutely covered in textured scales, bumps, and gnarly details. The translucent-looking red sections mixed with deep metallic greens, gold horns, and those wild growths give this figure an awesome monstrous appearance. Standing 3.94" (100mm) tall, this three-part sofubi figure is the tallest of the bunch and will retail for ¥9,000. There's so much going on with this sculpt... we're loving every bit of it!

Rounding out this fantastic lineup is Taisho (タイショー), and just look at that face! This happy little weirdo features a milky translucent body, bright orange hands and feet, a shiny metallic blue belly, and one goofy grin complete with two prominent front teeth. Add in those raised arms and a little antenna sticking out of its head, and you've got one seriously charming creature! Standing 2.76" (70mm) tall, this two-part sofubi figure will be available for ¥7,000. How can you not love this little dude?!

All five figures are produced in Japanese soft vinyl (sofubi) with original sculpts by HongToys, and the lineup features characters associated with Tsuburaya Productions, the legendary studio behind Ultraman. We're loving the variety here, from strange and adorable to downright monstrous, and each figure has its own unique charm!

Hobby Round 35 takes place Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Tokyo Ryutsu Center's Second Exhibition Hall, F Hall, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you're lucky enough to attend, be sure to swing by HongToys at booth F-05 and give these colorful creatures a closer look!
