Superplastic Sprouts Again?! Janky & Guggi Go Full Carrot Mode!
So yeah… Superplastic is back?! In a pretty wild twist, the brand was recently auctioned off to the highest bidder, and while the details are still a little murky, one thing is clear… new vinyl is already popping up. And of course, it’s not exactly subtle. Janky & Guggi have apparently been deep in the lab, teaming up with global streetwear icon Anwar Carrots for what can only be described as vinyl hydroponics. The story goes that they’ve been cross-breeding vinyl with carrot DNA under a busted grow lamp beneath the old Superplastic NYC store. Sounds ridiculous… which honestly makes it feel very on-brand. The result is a fresh, streetwear-soaked drop that kicks off the new year with some serious carrot energy.
Leading the charge is the 8" SuperCarrots Guggi by Anwar Carrots. Standing tall at 8", this SUPERGUGGI is finished in soft vinyl and rocks a hand-painted letterman jacket, complete with that unmistakable carrot-chain swagger. It’s bold, playful, and leans hard into that luxury streetwear-meets-art-toy vibe. Only 400 were made, priced at $70, and as of now, this is the last remaining piece from the release.
The smaller 3" SuperCarrots Janky came in hot too, limited to just 100 pieces at $15, but those sold out fast. The bundle featuring both the 3" and 8" figures also disappeared just as quickly. If you’re still hunting, the 8" SuperCarrots Guggi is your final shot from this drop.
For more info and availability, head over to anwarcarrots.com and superplastic.co while supplies last… because if Superplastic really is back, this feels like one of those moments collectors will be talking about later. Speaking of... whoever is over at Superplastic now, hit me up, I'd live to chat!
