“High Tea” with Mugi Teaworthy: A Custom Sofubi Showcase Brewing at DesignerCon 2025!

It’s that time of year again... DesignerCon 2025 is almost here, and if you’re not planning to roll through — well, you might wanna rethink that! But just in case you can’t make it, here’s a killer sneak peek at the custom show that Yaniv of Lowbrowee is putting together with the crew over at the Global Figure Showcase — Booth #1605!

As part of the GFS HQ booth, Lowbrowee Toys will be hosting a special custom show for Doktor A’s Mugi Teaworthy sofubi, titled “High Tea.” This event is bringing together some serious international heat, with 13 guest artists representing the UK, Thailand, Japan, and the US — plus, GFS cooked up a handful of painted Mugis by the legendary Goto-san himself!

Featured artists include: Sansern (Boss), Poriin, Mumbot, Kaori Hinata, Teresa Chiba, Pyos, Muju World (Miss Muju), Tomodachi Island, Jason Forbes (JFo), Horrible Adorables, Klav, Zintears, Goto-san, and of course, Lowbrowee. If you’re not familiar, Mugi stands about 6" tall and 8" long, made in Japan — a perfect blank canvas for creativity. Expect wildly different interpretations, from elegant steampunk builds to whimsical nature vibes, metallic dreamscapes, and even tinsel-filled madness.
