WHAT'S NEW

A Brief History of Gary Ham's "Toytem" Line!

While there is nothing revolutionary about a stackable designer toy, there was something special about Gary Ham's "Toytem" concept. Originally made as an original wooden sculpture for an exhibition, Ham's cute aesthetic merged with an obvious love for classic horror cinema created a memorable monument in toy form. Immediately popular, Ham did a production vinyl edition of the design before eventually expanding it with the "Toy Titans Toytem", all of which featured character heads that could be organized as the owner wanted as well as interchanged between the various versions. I got the chance to really delve into the history of this piece recently for an article on CoART Magazine, which can be read HERE, and I'm thrilled to be able to bring this work back to the mind's of collectors.
