Japanese paper craftsman
Haruki Nakamura produces paper toy puppets along the lines of
karakuri, or pieces that have been tricked out with moving aspects. Pictured above is his "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing", which removes its mask by a simple squeeze of the belly, and below is "Adelie Penguin Bomb", which explodes from flat to 3D when it hits a surface! Available to his native countrymen through
his online shop, those of us outside Japan can order book collections of his patterns from
amazon.co.jp.
