REVEALED: Jason Freeny & Mighty Jaxx's "XXRay" Suicide Squad This Weekend!

The Suicide Squad is an unorthodox work release program for supervillains within the DC Comics universe: death row inmates become U.S. government black-ops assets in exchange for commuted prison sentences. Leading to an interchangable cast of expendable bad guys, Suicide Squad has consistently had one member: Deadshot. Or, as you possibly now know him, the character played by Will Smith in the film. Irregardless, Mighty Jaxx has revealed their fourth wave of "XXRay" line releases to use officially licensed DC character likenesses… and they are the Suicide Squad. Or, at least, three members of the movie's team: Killer Croc, Deadshot, and Harley Quinn. Each of these 4-inch tall PVC pieces has been designed in a cartoonish manner by illustrator Ben Qwek and sculptor Adam Tan with the quarter-cut dissection element courtesy of Jason Freeny. Releasing for preorder on the XXRay.com website this upcoming weekend, they will be available on Saturday, August 20th, 2016 at 6am Pacific time. Or, if you can't wait, they are available to preorder now from Collect & Display, which is where we got the following images:
Commonly an adversary of Batman, Killer Croc has a rare genetic condition that gives him a crocodilian appearance. Depending on the artist depicting him, the extent of this resemblance ranges between a large man with hardened skin and an anthropomorphic crocodile. And the Mighty Jaxx team have opted for the more striking latter rendition!
As the world's deadliest and most accurate marksman, Deadshot is often a hired assassin, regularly boasting to "never miss." In addition the pictured version with a handgun there has also been a teaser of him holding a rifle… Could this be a chase variant version?
And finally Harley Quinn, the Joker's frequent accomplice and lover. Portrayed here in her more tradition harlequin inspired garb instead of the scanty costume Margot Robbie wore in the film, we've spotted a version with a bomb in her hand in addition to pictured one with a mallet… Another potential chase variant, making us ask if "XXRay, Wave 4" is the beginning of multiple figure options.
