When Kaiju, Zombies & Garbage Pail Kids make sweet love… TKOM's "Double Think" sofubi figures!

Takahiro Komuro / TKOM is currently noted for his incredible fiberglass sculptures, but I strongly suspect he'll be known for his soft Japanese vinyl (sofubi) figures soon enough… Pictured above is the prototype sculpt for his "Double Think" toy, based off of his 2-foot tall sculptural work of the same name. The vinyl figure will stand 11-inches tall and has what appears to be four points of articulation — neck, arms, and waist. Plus it'll come with a vinyl cast mace accessory that is shackled to his leg by a real chain… a stretch of metal long enough that he dangle the weapon from his hands. With the sculpt completed, we can assume this will go to waxing and casting soon enough! Be on the lookout for test shots to spill for in the near future!
