Plastic Booty's "Thor" • San Diego Comic Con 2009

I have been following the progress of John and Anthony of Plastic Booty since last years VTN, where they had some rough sculpts, and colorway sketches done of their Pantheon series! Now they have come full circle and were able to get their amazing sculpt casted, with the help of Julie B of Pretty in Plastic, just in time for SDCC 09! Check out the rad video below for some great shots of their figure, and yes he does stand on his own!!!

They had 2 one-of-a-kind 7" custom painted figures, one in their regular Thor design, and one in a specially designed "Spore and Gore" color scheme, both hand painted by the very talented Raymond Griego. These were on sale at Comic-Con for $175 each. They will also have a third "Bronze" edition figure on display and they will also be taking down names and email address for those interested in the next run of the figure.

Their next step is to produce a DIY resin piece of Thor more reasonably priced around the $50, which in my opinion for a lagre 7" hand casted resin piece is pretty awesome and affordable! So stay tuned to this site or their site for up to date info!
