Weathered, Worn, And Wonderful... New Slobots From Mike Slobot!

The Slobots Never Left... They Just Got Smaller. It’s been a while since we have checked in with Mike Slobot, but one thing is for sure... the Slobots never stopped rolling! Mike has been steadily building away in his studio, continuing to evolve his charming little robot universe with a fresh shift in direction. This year, he has moved away from the larger Slobots and started focusing on smaller, more detailed pieces, with pretty much everything now coming in under 5" tall.

Each new Slobot is still fully designed, printed, and hand-finished by Mike himself, keeping that handmade, worn-in, full-of-personality feel that collectors have always loved. These little mechanical misfits have that classic Slobot charm: weathered finishes, chunky forms, expressive shapes, retro robot vibes, and just enough oddball personality to make each one feel like it has been wandering around a tiny industrial wasteland looking for a good home.

Along with the smaller scale, Mike has also made a collector-friendly move by lowering his prices. In a world where everything seems to keep getting more expensive, it is refreshing to see an artist intentionally making new work more approachable. That means more handmade bot goodness without completely wrecking the wallet.

A few of the latest pieces include weathered bot builds, boxy module-style designs, and the wonderfully named “Yellowy Yellow,” a nod to The Crafsman on YouTube. From the green and metallic bot builds to the yellow blocky little wanderer and the warm weathered orange robot, this new batch still feels unmistakably Slobot... just smaller, tighter, and packed with even more handmade detail.
