Sammy x Vinyles Chiles “Flamin’ Chile” — Celebrating 10 Years of Sammy!
Man… talk about a throwback. Back in 2015, I featured Sammy right HERE on SpankyStokes in the post “What Lies Under His Spiked Leather Mask?” and now, ten years later, Sammy is back with a milestone collaboration that celebrates a full decade of the character’s evolution.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the very first Sammy figure, Chester Greenbag teamed up with Mexican company Vinyles Chiles for a crossover that mashes Sammy together with their mascot Chile Damián. The concept leans hard into that bold “Flamin’ Hot” snack universe aesthetic — fiery reds, spicy attitude, and packaging that looks like it could sit on a convenience store shelf next to your favorite guilty pleasure.
The original event version debuted as a 20cm figure, which clocks in at roughly 7.9 inches tall, and was part of an exhibition in Tlatelolco, Mexico City featuring 10 guest artists. That show alone marked a huge moment for the character. But now we’re looking at the newest evolution of that concept — a more compact 10cm release, coming in at about 4 inches tall.
This new edition is produced in resin in Argentina and features a translucent red body with orange detailing that fully embraces the “Flamin’ Hot” vibe. The material choice really pushes the heat factor, especially when light hits it. It comes packaged in a custom-designed box that carries the crossover branding and completes the visual punch of the project.
This Argentina-Mexico collaboration is a major milestone in Sammy’s history. Ten years deep and still evolving… that’s something special. If you want to grab one, they’re available directly through Chester via Instagram at @chestergreenbag.
