Five Wishes… Zero Mercy: Matt Walls Sofubi’s THE DEVIL’S PAW Crawls Into Reality!

Here’s a first look at THE DEVIL’S PAW from Matt Walls Sofubi, coming straight out of Australia and diving deep into classic horror territory. This piece is inspired by The Monkey’s Paw, the legendary short story by English author W.W. Jacobs from over a hundred years ago… the one about an evil monkey’s paw that grants wishes, but always at a brutal cost. Yeah… that story. And this toy absolutely nails that unsettling, cursed energy.
THE DEVIL’S PAW feels like something pulled right out of a nightmare. The sculpt is raw, gnarly, and unsettling in the best way possible, easily making this a dream (or nightmare) pickup for horror and sofubi collectors alike. I seriously love how creepy this thing is… it’s the kind of piece that makes you stop and stare, then feel slightly uncomfortable doing so.
Matt has gone ultra-limited here, producing just 20 pieces per colorway, and he’s already confirmed these will never be repeated. The colorways are wild too… Marbled Wagyu Beef Pink/White, Marbled Filthy Earwax Caramel/GID, Marbled Death Metal Black/White, and Toxic GID. Each one feels gross, eerie, and perfectly on-theme. The rollout is being staggered, with the Marbled Wagyu Beef Pink/White version available HERE right now. All four colorways will also be making an appearance later this year at Superfestival in Japan, which is pretty rad. If you’re into macabre art toys, this is definitely one to keep on your radar.
Right now, the Marbled Pink/White Wagyu Beef edition of THE DEVIL’S PAW is available directly from Matt's online store HERE right now for AU$150, and that price includes free worldwide shipping with tracking. With only 20 made, these are going to disappear fast… so if you’re feeling brave enough to invite a cursed object into your collection, now’s the time.
