Cosmic Tentacles and Street Vibes… “Hug the K” Sofubi from Nikopicto Lands for a Limited Time!

It's been since 2015 when we last posted about Nikopicto's 'Hug the Killer' release from Mighty Jaxx... well, he's back... and after turning heads at DesignerCon Asia in Hong Kong, Nicolas Lesaffre aka Nikopicto is finally unleashing his “Hug the K” sofubi on collectors worldwide. From December 1–15, 2025, fans will have a tight two-week window to snag these cosmic creatures over at hugthek.bigcartel.com, and honestly... they’re the kind of weird, wonderful energy every shelf needs.

“Hug the K” is a trippy, tentacled being cruising through a graffiti-splashed cloud paradise, built around the mantra “Fear It or Hug It”... a reminder that when life throws strange new vibes or challenges at us, we can either freak out or lean in with a hug. In this drop, Nikopicto is rolling out two colorways, each limited to just 50 pieces worldwide.

First up is Double Hug, the OG (Black), rocking a slick black body and an extra set of arms because, of course, this little cosmic homie always has another hug ready. Then there’s Fire Hug!!! (Red), a blazing hot version that looks like it stormed out of a nebula… and desperately needs you to cool him down with, yep, another hug. Both figures stand around 8" / 20cm tall, are produced in soft vinyl/sofubi, and stay true to Nikopicto’s bold, character-driven style. Each is priced at $120, which feels pretty fair for a low-run, designer sofubi edition with this much attitude.
