It has been a minute since we last saw a new release from Otto Björnik, but good news… the missing cactus has officially been found! After the debut of No Hoots Given, the Burnout Parliament has quietly been growing in the background, and now the next chapter is ready to clock in. Every office has an Oscar. The dependable Kuya everyone goes to when they have no idea who else to ask. The unofficial IT guy, HR rep, therapist, coffee buddy, and crisis manager… despite absolutely none of those responsibilities being in his actual job title. With his loosened tie, crooked collar, tired eyes, little blue mug, and that “I still believe in this company” look on his face, Oscar is the kind of character that feels painfully familiar in the best way possible.

There is something hilarious and weirdly heartfelt about this release. Oscar has been “next in line” for promotion for so long that his boss might retire before he does, but he is still hanging in there. Like a cactus, he is low-maintenance, easy to overlook, and impossible to kill. That mix of workplace burnout, quiet optimism, and Björnik’s unmistakable character style makes this one hit a little too close to home.
