This Chibi Horror Toy Is Smoking… Literally - Cighead by Sad Joke Lights Up Kickstarter Soon!

Talk about a first release that comes out swinging… independent artist and toy designer Taylor Bray, the creator behind Sad Joke, is getting ready to launch his debut art toy, and this little burnout is already looking like a conversation starter. Meet Cighead, a 6" PVC collectible based on Bray’s original character that takes a cute chibi-style figure and cranks the horror-inspired weirdness way up with 61 cigarettes sticking out of his head.

Built around the idea of juxtaposition, Cighead walks that perfect line between oddly adorable and totally unsettling. The figure has that sleepy, worn-out, “I have seen some things” expression, paired with a round blue head covered in cigarette spikes, black streetwear, sneakers, and one oversized smoke hanging from his mouth. It is funny, grimy, and just the right amount of uncomfortable… which feels exactly like the point.

For a debut release, this one has a strong visual hook. Sad Joke is not easing into the designer toy world quietly. Cighead feels like a mascot for bad choices, late nights, creative burnout, and the kind of humor that hits a little too close to home. The sculpt brings the horror influence, while the proportions keep it collectible and character-driven. It is gross, cute, sad, and hilarious all at once. Cighead launches on Kickstarter September 1, 2026, with a very limited edition size of just 500 pieces. Once they are gone, there will not be another run. The figure stands 6" tall, is produced in PVC, and will be available through the campaign at $70 for the art toy.

The Kickstarter will include three reward tiers: $25 for a sticker and signed art print, $70 for the Cighead Art Toy with 350 available, and $100 for the Collector Bundle, which includes a sticker, signed art print, and signed art toy with the box signed, limited to 150 available.
