POP-UP RECAP: Snoopy & Belle in Fashion Exhibit at SDCC 2017!!

Spanky Stokes has been busy scooping what's going on during San Diego Comic Con in the Exhibit Hall while I took a quick gander to see what other SDCC events are interesting! One event that Tokidoki and Snoopy fans might love is the 'Snoopy & Belle In Fashion' pop up exhibit that is currently going on in San Diego! Timed to start with SDCC, it is a traveling display of over 40 Snoopy dolls that are dressed up with fashionable duds from all sorts of designers, from folks like Colleen Atwood, a costume designer who has done everything from the movie Silence of the Lambs to Arrow, the DC Comics television show, and Simone Legno, the artistic genius behind Tokidoki. Simone's creations are the latest to join the travelling display. In fact, he also did a signing with fans in the pop-up! I caught the tail end of it and managed to take a selfie with him but didn't capture the signing.

One of my favorite creations (in addition to Simone's of course) was from Zac Posen, a fashion designer who has also dressed celebrities on the red carpet. The photo above cracks me up because if you look in the reflection, you can see Simone reflected, in his trademark cap.

For those that are not into fancy Snoopy outfits, there are also plenty of Tokidoki creations, such as an exclusive tote bag. This tote bag is amazing, it's a dark thick denim and has a wonderful Belle and Snoopy decal on the front. There was also a small set of limited prints but these were crazy hard to get, fans were lining up at 7 am to pick up the limited daily quantities. The pop-up opens every day at 11 and within a few minutes those quantities would be gone. But there are still plenty of totes, and pin sets available! For those that like to chase pins, there is a set of three at the pop-up, and then two other pins that you can get inside SDCC at the Peanuts booth (1635), and the Tokidoki booth (5145). To go to the fashion exhibit pop-up, you don't need to have a SDCC ticket, you just need to be in San Diego! You can visit it at 226 5th Ave (though not sure how long it will last). In case you can't make it, will leave you with a few more photos!
