Armored Trooper VOTOMS’s “ATM-09-ST Scopedog” from Threezero!

At the recent C3 SUNRISE booth, fantastic high-end action figure producer Threezero unveiled their rendition of the “ATM-09-ST Scopedog” design from Armored Trooper VOTOMS. For those that aren't familiar, Armored Trooper VOTOMS — VOTOMS standing for Vertical One-man Tank for Offense & ManeuverS — was a a military science fiction mecha anime that debuted in 1983. Created by Ryosuke Takahashi and SUNRISE, featuring mechanical designs by Kunio Okawara, the series featured a variety of Armored Trooper mechs, mass-produced humanoid combat vehicles, each piloted by a single soldier.

Threezero’s rendition of “Scopedog” will be 1/12th scale, meaning that the mech — which would stand 3.804 meters (12.480315 feet) tall in real life — should be over a full foot in height for this collectible toy release! In the anime, the base Scopedog model could be outfitted with several pieces of optional equipment and weapons. Time will tell how many accessories the Threezero rendition will be accompanied by, as this prototype teaser is just the first step in the long road to release.
