Tasha Zimich’s “Miss Kiss” hand-painted piece for Vive La Lolligag!

Tasha Zimich dabs her brushes with acrylics and holds the 6-inch tall “Lolligag” vinyl figure aloft, transforming the Marie Antoinette-esque creation into her own hand-painted piece. Titled “Miss Kiss,” Zimich felt that the “curly-cue contours in the hairstyle lent themselves well to become eyeballs,” which resulted in a very Salvador Dali inspired surrealist finished piece. A fantastically fresh take on this three-dimensional canvas, Zimich’s work of art will be part of the upcoming Vive La Lolligag! exhibition at Woot Bear Gallery.

Vive La Lolligag! opens on August 29th with a reception from 6-9 pm local time at Woot Bear Gallery, 147 Clement St., San Fransisco, CA 94118.
