Elmo's Empire's custom "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" Dunny!

Prior to creating Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney's major success was a cartoon character named "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit"; while Disney only worked on the character he created in 1927 for two years, Oswald cartoons ran fairly consistently until 1938. Pictured above is Elmo's Empire's loving tribute to the nearly forgotten Oswald, who — in this custom Dunny form — is grasping a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar. While the paint job is a bit uneven looking, I actually like the look given the time period Oswald existed in… a more rough hewn, early animation style, harkening back to the simpler time that Oswald might embody. Any which way you cut it, those big sad eyes have to melt your heart.
