Deep within a secret underground jungle laboratory, the Beast Brothers have been keeping busy... REALLY busy that is as they are gearing up for a huge release... figuratively and literally! Based on their awesome 3" Dunny design from the recent Azteca Series 2, they are planning on releasing a large 8" version of this "Calendario" design... and from the pictures above they are going to release at least 12 of these... maybe more, maybe less depending if they keep some for themselves :-) Either way this is going to happen really soon seeing as all the resin heads are done... all that's left is to make em pretty! They were supposed to drop in February, but it appears it may be pushed back just a bit... so stay tuned for release info and more pics to drop soon :-)

Ashley Wood's Zombie Vs. Robot movie announced

Photobucket
Ashley Woods is certainly on a roll, back in 2009 fans were delighted to hear Jerry Bruckhiemer acquired the rights to WWR (world war robot), last years Comicon (2010) ended with a film company picking up the rights to Ashley's popular graphic novels Lore. And now this year Sony announced that they've picked up the underlying rights to his collaboration with Chris Ryall for Zombies Vs. Robots comics published by IDW. Word is writer JT Petty has developed a spec script titled Inherit the Earth based off the popular comic. Production is being handled by Michael Bays company Platinum Dunes, as well as Circle of Confusion and IDW. No word yet on if they will be keeping main story elements from the first graphic novels nor if they plan on using the existing robot designs as seen in the comics. More information as we get near. Now hopefully one day we might see Ashley Wood's 3A release some toys in the Zombie versus Robot universe...

Leecifer's customs for Super7 show 2/26/2011

Okay... let me preface this by saying the photo above may be only half of what you can expect to see at this show from Leecifer... and that's just from Lee, as Paul Kaiju will be joining in on the mayhem with his own slew of customs! That needed to be said, because the amount of time and effort put forth by these two artists is unreal! Opening this Saturday 2/26/2011 in the SF area, Super7 is proud to be hosting the 2 man show of both Leecifer and Paul Kaiju, and today we are getting just a glimpse of what Lee is bringing to to the table. The majority of these pieces seem to have a centered theme... FLAME... which would only make sense seeing as his first vinyl toy "Honoo" aka the Flame is making his debut at the show. We also get to see all kinds of funny toys mashed-up, turned into Batmen (more than one) Fink piggy-banks... phew... you name it, it will be on display. Seriously amazing work from Lee, and be sure to hit the jump for a slide show of even more customs!
