Brian, of Super7 fame, had some amazing new items on exhibit for his inaugural show in San Diego and the main show piece was an amazing 8' tall fiberglass totem that greeted all that entered the gallery... not to mention new traditional works including some crazy looking totem/stack-able figures as well as custom vinyl Ghostfighter's, Squirm's, Mummy boy's and Mummy Gator's! A ton of pieces were picked up at the show, but there are a few piees still available. If interested hit up the preview list HERE and then contact the gallery by phone via 619-546-8800! More pics after the jump.

Custom Mega "Munny-Raiser" from Adam Haynes
We have covered the "Stickfort" work of Adam Haynes HERE before, he is a super talented artist hailing from the Great Northwest, Oregon, and most of the work I have seen from him is either vector illustrations or painting medium on a canvas or wood... that is until now! He took his skills to the next level on an 18" DIY Munny painted for the Gallatin Valley Skatepark Association Fundraiser where he used acrylics and india ink on this massive chunk on vinyl, and as you can see from the outcome... PURE HEAT! This is some amazingly detailed work, and I always enjoy the subject matter of his paintings.

Resin "Unidentified Monstrous Organisms" created by Philip Reed of BattleGrip.com
Philip Reed of BattleGrip has tried some toy making first hand, and I might say that for the first time these turned out pretty fantastic. These resin "Unidentified Monstrous Organisms" monsters are a mashup of toy parts, Sculpey, and a on of hard work because each one is hand-painted... to see the making of pictures go check out his Flickr HERE! Each one is $40 in the US (includes shipping) or $50 out of the US (includes shipping), and the colors and designs will be random, but if you see one you like you can request a specific color and/or design
There are only 12 of these available, but don't fret if your too late because Phil says that there will likely be more designs/colors in the future. If your interested hit the link HERE to his site, choose your option and your off to the races!

Fresh Characters to launch new online forum
Quan, owner and operator of Fresh Characters is going to launch his new forums this Thursday, April 22, 2010... and to celebrate he is going to do a ton of awesome giveaways sponsored by Dragatomi, Kusovinyl, PinkGhost, Tenacious Toy, Jesse (jryu)... not to mention others! Quan says that "I know it's just another forums, but this forums should be pretty chill. A place where artists can hang out, toy collectors can show off their vinyl goodies, a marketplace to buy and sell, and also a section where people can ask their favorite retailer questions or give them feedback." All you need to do to be entered into the giveaways is to register and introduce themselves on the forums. More details to come, but this should be a great outlet for artists and fans alike!
