BLOC28 by Disney - Vinyl by Tenga

The vision continues for Bloc28 by Disney artist series 2 with Mickey by Tenga. When DCP present us with this project, we knew there were some challenges in interpreting any artwork from 2D to 3D, however Japan artist Tenga was able to re-imagine Mickey in such a way that our deluxe figure turned out to be an amazing 15 inches tall with a wing span of 22 inches, making it quite the (ATC) figure. This is being produced by Mindstyle.

A major global launch is planned this summer in Hong Kong. The whole Bloc28 program was started by Disney to work with artists experienced in non-traditional media like murals, graffiti, and street art. It started as just a few graphics, but it was soon developed into its own program. With most of us inspired by Disney characters as children, it’s interesting to see how Mickey is reinterpreted.

All of the artists have their own unique style. And they all have a following; yet Bloc28 allows the artists to take their street art to a broader audience. Bloc28 by Disney is all about telling a great story in a non-traditional way.
