Crystal Clear Trouble... Baketan’s Mentaigon Retro Glass Heads Overseas!

Clear a little shelf space... Baketan is sending Mentaigon - Retro Glass Color - overseas! The latest look pairs a cheerful black-haired character with a transparent aqua outer form, letting the figure inside do the talking while the light catches all those rounded surfaces. The loose head piece shown alongside it adds another fun detail to the artist’s reveal.

That mix of toy-like character design and old-school glassware color is a pretty sweet combo. The soft blue-green tint gives the clear parts depth without hiding the pink cheeks, blue outfit and little hands underneath. It is easy to see why this one caught our eye... and this specific colorway is just too cute. Check out the previous releases below...

The official release announcement sets the sale for Monday, October 26, 2026 at 1 p.m. Japan Standard Time. For U.S. collectors, that is Sunday, October 25 at 9 p.m. Pacific / midnight Eastern going into October 26. The price is ¥22,000 plus shipping, with a limit of one per person.

This drop is only for customers living outside Japan, so the overseas restriction is part of the deal. Head to Baketan’s official Big Cartel shop at the announced time, and follow the artist for any updates. The announcement does not specify a size or edition count. Photos courtesy of Baketan.
