Make a Splash With the First Kokoro Swell Charm Art Toy!
After years working in animation, gaming, and digital character art, 3D artist and sculptor Cris, also known as criiss, is stepping into the physical collectible world with the debut release of Kokoro Swell Charm | Epic Day Series. This is a surf-inspired designer toy that blends a playful character silhouette with the feeling every surfer chases: showing up at the perfect time, seeing an empty lineup, and realizing the waves are absolutely firing.
Kokoro translates to heart, spirit, soul, and mind in Japanese, and that emotional connection is right at the center of the character. Kokoro is built around the childlike energy that stays with us into adulthood, especially when a favorite surf spot, a clean wave, and the right group of friends make everything else disappear for a little while. The Epic Day Series captures that exact moment when a normal session turns into one you will be talking about forever.
The debut version features a moody charcoal-to-red color treatment, bright turquoise star-shaped eyes, an oversized red surfboard, and a stance that feels like Kokoro just stepped away from the car and caught sight of the lineup. At 4" tall, this little resin figure has a ton of personality, from the soft matte paintwork to the separate board accessory, which can be positioned facing forward or backward in Kokoro’s hand.
Each Kokoro Swell Charm | Epic Day Series figure is made from resin, hand-painted with acrylics, and finished in matte. The edition is limited to just 25 pieces, with every figure accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity and a custom-designed story box created by Cris. Since every piece is manually crafted and painted, collectors can expect the small details and handmade character that make an independent art toy release feel special.
The first Kokoro Swell Charm release arrives Thursday, July 9 for $125 USD plus shipping - and can be picked up HERE. For anyone who lives for surf culture, character-driven art toys, or simply needs a little extra good-wave energy on the shelf, this one is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
