Candie Bolton's Kitsune Figures in Resin and Wood for Woot Bear!

In Japanese folklore, the Kitsune (狐) is a fox with superior intelligence and magical powers, able to take human form and even possess people. With her previous "Kitsura" vinyl figure, artist Candie Bolton introduced the concept of the beast with three eyes… an idea she evolves again with two "Fortune Fox" renditions! The above-pictured sculpt will be produced in resin while, as pictured below, she hand-painted five unique wood assemblages, each cut and assembled by Woodwork by Woodbeck. Both of these designs will debut at her upcoming dual solo show (with JP Neang) at Woot Bear Gallery, opening August 20th, 2016 and titled Kamikakushi / Walking With Spirits.
