2PetalRos’s Female Samurai “Maiko” Returns… in a beautiful “Cherry Blossom” colorway!

Named after the Japanese term for an apprentice geisha in western Japan, especially Kyoto, the 13½-inch tall “Maiko” (舞妓) figure from 2PetalRose is created anew in the commissioned “Sakura” (さくら), or “cherry blossom,” edition. Garbed in a traditional samurai helmet, this sculptural design has an almost feminist appeal, showing a very traditional looking woman taking up a non-traditional & even gender breaking attire. This completely hand-crafted piece was commissioned by a private art collector, with those interested in acquiring something similar being encouraged to contact the artist directly at 2petalrose [at] gmail [dot] com.
